Success

As Robert Frost once said:

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

The festival is over, but that's no reason to cry.  Thanks everyone for coming out tho, we had a good turn out, and good films.  Til next time!

2011 Film Festival Info

Thanks for having an interest in the Real 2 Reel Film Festival.  This is the festival's first year, and we wanted to do it due to the fact that USU didn't have a real film festival.  Sure there was the fringe, but that had so many requirements and restrictions.  I remember last year you had to include 3 things from their list of 10 to put in your movie.  Like a sneeze!  This meant that you were supposed to shoot your film around THEIR requirements.  Sure it's fun, but it's not real.

The point of THIS film festival is to have a night to showcase all the sweet films that have already been made.  I know there's a lot of indie film makers around here that have cool videos, lets get together and watch them.

The only 2 rules are:
1.  Keep it under 50 minutes
2.  You have to come to the viewing of the film.

The deadline for submissions will be March 20, at 11:59pm.  The viewings will take place on March 23, 2011 at the Logan Arthouse and Cinema on 795N & MAIN.  It will start at 7pm and go until 11 with an intermission.  If your film is selected, we will notify you when it's gonna play, and we'd like to have you give a little commentary after the film's been shown to tell us all the fun facts about making it.

There's not going to be any prizes awarded unless we can find some sponsors.

So about submitting:

Simple.  Just fill this form out.
We're looking for a variety of films at a variety of lengths, so go ahead and send us anything.  If you have a million films, send us a couple of your best ones, and not all of them.

If you have any questions or comments, go ahead and comment on this post, or email: info@utahstatefilm.com
